Italy and solar, the future is already here

Incentives of Energy Bill 2010 could have anticipated the objectives of nine Italians on the expansion of solar energy . And our town halls second in the world rankings.
The installed capacity of photovoltaic installations in Italy may touch 8000 megawatts (MW) by the end of the year, reaching it, the goal that our country had set for 2020. This as stated by the GSE (Manager of Energy Services) January 25.
At the end of 2010, the PV capacity is equal to 3000 MW compared to 1142 MW in 2009 thanks to the generous fees that the Energy Bill had granted last year.
But, in Indeed, the GSE has said that the figure could rise up to 7000 MW if one considers the strength of all those plants already installed but not yet connected to the electricity grid . Power should be turned into energy by the end of June.
Gianni Chianetta, president of Assosolare stated that "[i] data announced by the GSE that can not be satisfied to see the enormous success it has had the Energy Bill and confirm the excellent performance of sector, in sharp contrast in times of crisis. The 7000 MW place Italy in second place in the world and amount to more than 4.6 million tons Avoided CO2 into the atmosphere. "
